New Virgin Media customer, old O2 customer

Hi, 

I just received and activated my new Virgin media hub. As a current O2 user, I know that I am entitled to volt benefits ie extra data and higher wifi speed. My first question is how do I know if this has been applied and secondly, do I need to call virgin media to tell them I am an O2 customer or is it automatic? Thank you.

Hi - exactly the same position as you.

I phoned up customer support and they activated Volt for me - same day I got the Broadband boost, and within 48 hours my O2 data was doubled.

I called 0345 454 1111 (I think), or 150 from my Landline...

I could see the boost in a speedtest run on my Hub:
https://www.samknows.com/realspeed/

and then also in my package details in MyVirginMedia :
https://www.virginmedia.com/myvmo2/your-package

For the O2 part I just had to wait...
