V6 remote control

I leave my box on standby. Remote would NOT switch on box although it did so after about10 minutes.  Now I cant get the remote to switch off the box. Although I can get and change all the channels as normal, neither the HOME or ON/OFF green button has any effect. Some other minor buttons will also not function. I have switched of at wall and rebooted but no difference. Batteries checked and replaced (voltage checked just to make sure but this is not the cause.  Anyone have any ideas.  Tried to contact Virgin but after hanging on to phone for over half an hour i gave up!

Many thanks I didn't know youn could do so. Not sure ifit is the remote or the box but presumably the former. Anyway there is no charge so i have nothing to lose. I believe you have to match up the new remote to your box however I assume it will include instructions if necessary. Again many thanks for your helpful advice.

Hi johng01

Have you tried ordering a replacement remote online?
