I wouldn't think it's anything to worry about. It's probably just the LED light fading (it happens to the lights on the hubs as well) as that light should be white when the box is switched on and working normally.

Had a new 360 box installed today and as others a blue standby led, so not an ageing led
mini box Iโd still red but every thing works which is the main thing I guess

I know you are trying to help, but you've post your fading LED theory on both community threads about this problem.
If you read the threads it is clearly not a fading LED as it wouldn't cause a lot of people to have exactly the same problem at the same time.

I don't know if you noticed when reading the other threads but when I saw the second post regarding the blue light I immediately escalated the issue < here> (in the VIP closed forum so the Modteam were aware of any potential problems) and it's now with the products team for testing and analysis. Some of the posters have been asked in private for their 360 box details which have then been forwarded to the product team to aid their investigation.
For further historical info, VM actually changed the standby light from light blue to red over 3 years ago - see < this thread > which is an interesting read

This did happen before with a 360 update (seems like a long time ago but I preferred it), my mini box has just been updated and the standby light is still red, still waiting for the main box to update.
Have you tried rebooting the box by switching the power off and on again to see if it changes, if not you will have to wait until virgin pushes out an update which is what happened before if I remember correctly. ๐ค

Hi Alex,
I've got exactly the same problem of my standby light on the Virgin 360 tv box having turned to blue.
Noticed it when I switched off last night and ran the Virgin website tests which said everything was OK.
Turning it on still turns it on to white and everything I've checked still works, but it is still blue when switching off.
So is this a feature or a bug?

Yep same for me, noticed the Blue light instead of red this morning on my bedroom mini box and i see my main box in lounge is now blue on standby, boxes seem to work fine but concerned something is wrong any answers yet?

Hello,
yeah this has happened after a software update from version 5.11 to 5.12 This is normal has also changed the standby light on my main and mini box as well.
nothing to worry about as long as your services are working fine.

I've got 2 boxes and one has a red standby light, whilst the other now has a blue light when in standby. Both are operating fine. Strange.

My mini box has also gone blue light on standby, i wouldnt mind but its in my bedroom and is lighting the whole room up. Mrs going nuts about it so i have put black electrical tape on it to hide the light!

Same problem on mine after update. Doesnโt seem to affect anything.
Currently waiting for a technician today. Had problem with some of my live channels glitching (unwatchable) most of the week but strangely seems to have resolved itself this morning.
