Virgin 360 not recording from start of program

I have a question with regards to an issue with the 360 live record option

If a program is running and i can currently live rewind to the start ok. If i decide to press record on that program, it will not record from the start, even though i can live rewind to the start

The virgin tivo box done this perfectly ok for years, but this so called upgrade is unable to do this 

Is there a setting i have to press or is this another one to add to the list of downgrade 360 software i wished i never updated

TiVo-firmware on a TiVo/V6 is fundamentally different to Horizon-firmware on a TV360, and they work in different ways.

TV360 supports "live restart" of some channels, which is a link into OD/streaming facilities which provide the "watch from start". The exception would be when you are watching a live broadcast channel and you have an HDD buffer to the beginning of the scheduled programme, and TiVo-firmware would backup a "new" recording to the start of the programme or the buffer. I use a V6 so am unsure if TV360 replicates this - I would not be surprised if it doesn't.

I know what you're talking about. I loved this feature too.

The 360 has lost many many excellent features sadly. Based on comments posted by hundreds of users; the consensus is that the 360 is a downgrade, and a horrible television system. There's only 1 or 2 people I've seen who defend the 360 box, I don't know why.

Sadly it's all downhill from here whether we like it or not... I'm just grateful that I've had the privilege of enjoying the golden ages of broadcast TV.

Sorry to hear of your concerns with recordings. 

On the TV360 when you select to record, you should get the option to record the series or just the one show. This will begin from the point of when the recording was selected and then record the series from the beginning when scheduled.  We always take on board the feedback we receive so we can collect the information and use it to learn more about the areas we need to improve. We will certainly pass this information along to the relevant teams.
