Error cs9993 on volume does not work

Stappo

Managed to pair with tv and all works fine including putting the tv onto standby! but it still does not let me control the volume with the 360 remote? Have tried rebooting, pairing and unpairing again and again , rebooted the 360 box still no joy. Very frustrating as having to use two remotes

Hi @Stappo,

Has the advice that's been offered here helped you to resolve this matter, or is the issue ongoing for you?

Thanks,

No this has still not been resolved, very frustrating as was working fine until I downloaded the 360 “upgrade”

There is no option to manually enter? There are two boxes one for change tv set up and one for amplified devices. I click on tv box and it searches then comes up with the cs993 error every time ? Tried hundreds of times and same error every time?

Hi again @Stappo

There isn't a CS993 error code. Do you mean CS9993?

Edited:- checked thread title and it is error CS9993

The online fault page /tv-error-codes/tv-error-code/cs9993  suggests it's a known fault and VM are working hard to fix the issue, however I don't think that's the actual issue as normally when that error surfaces the forum has a large number of users with the same error code/message.

In the past when I've had the CS9993 error it's been due to the 360 box not recognising that it's connected to the internet. This has prevented me changing settings and accessing apps and catch up services. I normally find rebootng the 360 fixes this( which you've tried) although sometimes i need to also reboot the hub as well.

IIs your 360 connected to the hub by ethernet cable or wifi?

It's best to connect the 360 by ethernet cable if possibe, if not then if you aren't using one of VM's pods then it may be worth splitting the SSID and try connecting the 360 box to the 2.4Ghz  band
