Hello,
I am looking for some help with the following please. I am trying to help to a customer of Virgin Media who is very elderly and has problems using her remote control. She finds it too complicated to use and the buttons are too small really for her. I understand there is an alternative remote control that would help address these accessibility needs and wondered if someone could help me with providing her with one of these please?.
Kind regards,
Anthony

Hi anthony50x,
Virgin don't do a large button remote for the 360, they have a high contrast remote for V6 box but it doesn't work with the 360 box, picture below.
Someone in this thread got the Flipper remote to work, don't know if that's the kind of remote you are looking for.
It might be 2 to 3 day's before a member of the forum team respond.

Hi Anthony,
It's good of you to try and help your neighbour. You've posted in the 360 so I'm assuming she has a 360 box - easy way to tell is that the 360 remote has a voice activation button, but I'm afraid VM don't have an alternative remote control for the 360 box.
You can use the following url to check which box she has.
https://www.virginmedia.com/care/tv-fault/which-tv-box
You can use some third party remotes such as the OneForAll URC7125 which works with both the 360 and tivo/V6 boxes - with the 360 you use the SimpleSet setup process and choose Ziggo as the manufacturer.
There's also the OneForAll1240which works with both 360 and tivo/V6 boxes, you enter code 1582 for the 360box. It has 4 selects for tv/sat/amp/dvd. I found I needed direct line of sight to set up the 1240 (I haven't got the 7125)
Both remotes are available from Argos, Curry's and Amazon - the OneForAll URC7125 is reduced to £9.49 in Argos, and the OneForAll1240 is £10.66 on Amazon with free shipping.
Some TV sets also have smart remotes which if she has one she may be able to use and pair with the 360. I'm not sure if the TV smart remotes will work with the older tivo/V6 boxes
There are some tips and videos for using the tivo/V6 remotes which may be helpful under the sub sections Sight Loss and Hearing Loss on the following page
