Buffering recordings

I have the same problem. I had 2x Tivo boxes before and recordings played back fine on both boxes. After I “upgraded” to TV360 Virgin have left me with a Tivo box and a slave mini box. Recordings frequently buffer when playing back on the mini box, even though my mesh Wi-Fi system is working fine. Does anyone have a solution to this please? Should I request an additional box from Virgin to replace the troublesome “mini”?

Your post has been moved to a new thread.

TiVo's didn't have WiFi, and relied on Ethernet connections between the box & your home-hub for all multi-room streaming, so you should use the same Ethernet cable into your new TV360 boxes.

I suspect, based on your previous posts, that you had at least one x V6 rather than TiVo. Check at https://www.virginmedia.com/care/tv-fault/which-tv-box if you're not sure.

I suspect you have a TiVO V6 that you have migrated to Horizon V360 as a master box. Then VM has replaced your TiVO 500 that cannot be migrated, to a V360 mini box. It is unlikely the issue is the mini box, particularly if you are now using Wi-Fi to interconnect the boxes. You can still use Ethernet to connect the new mini to your network, in fact it is recommended as the mini relies on this connection to stream your recordings from the master box.
