BBCiplayer constantly needs to sign in

Tuning in

I had problems with my TV360 box. It was deleting recordings (3 times now) and failing recordings/ playback. The Virgin engineer came last week and performed a "hard boot". So far so good, but I now have to sign in every time I use BBCiplayer. I have checked my BBC account and I have cookies enabled.

How can I resolve this?

If you also have problems with pausing and rewinding live TV then it would point to a hard drive problem and the box would need replacing.

If the box does need replacing then you need to phone Virgin on 150 from your Virgin phone, mobile or landline, or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone to report a fault, or wait here for one of the forum team to pick this up which might be 2 to 3 day's.

When phoning choose the option to report a fault, then ignore all the options offered and you should then be placed into a queue to speak to someone.

If the 360 has deleted your recordings and planned recordings and more than once it's a sign that the box is faulty., having to sign into apps constantly without signing out is another symptom. Is the box set to fast start or active start having it set to eco start seemed to cause some people problems in the past.

The box is set to active start. It has also started to fail to continue play recordings (CS2200 error message) again.

On our wavelength

Oh my, I have the same issue and it’s driving me crazy.
My kids like to watch baby club etc on the iPlayer and the TV doesn’t seem to remember my credentials. I have to keep signing in every time I open the app.

I tried every advice shared on google, but nothing works. It was ok until maybe a month or two ago.

Ok thank you Roy247. Just today on My5 if I select any programme it will play the adverts and then the spinning wheel just keeps going around plus another failed recording!. Thank you for your help anyway.

I think you need to call Virgin or wait for one of the forum team to respond. 😕
