network adapter needs resetting constantly

Just lately my internet keeps disconnecting, I reconnect by resetting the network adapter, after updating every driver, resetting windows, repairing windows and checkiing cables and pc components, I tested the router and it came back with ethernet problems, so I unplugged all ethernet cables from the superhub 5 except my pc and ran the test, all was perfect, then I plugged the TV into the ethernet and ran the test, all fine, as soon as I add my eufy cctv hub ethernet or my laptop ethernet the test fails again. Is it the superhub? does it need replacing?

  • Try a different NIC on your computer.     HP USB 3 to GB network adaptors are about £10 from eBay.

Hub 5 can have DHCP issues, especially if it is on old firmware following a recent factory reset.

Make sure that every device that you have connected has :
    1) a unique IP in the 192.168.0.xxx range
    2) a Gateway of 192.168.0.1

  • all devices have different IP's. when accessing the router via my browser the network status has a few "GUI Login Status - Login Fail from LAN interface"  Notices and the network diagnostic tool always gets a red triangle warning on the ethernet connection. I'm buying a new ethernet cable today to test that. A pc engineer said he thinks it may be drivers but I've just done a clean install of windows and the problem persists... it might go an hour before it disconnect the internet or 20 times in an hour.... I will try other things before buying a new router.

      Hi gravy1

Welcome back to the community forums

Sorry to hear of your service concerns at this time.

We've checked the systems at our side just to ensure there's nothing going on and cannot see any issues within the area or with your hub specifications.

Is the service only affected when you plug in the CCTV hub or laptop is connected?

Keep us posted with how you get on with your new ethernet and further test you've done.

  • I'm not sure if it is a pc issue or a superhub issue but I do get this

  • And the only critical issues  in the network log are these

I'm hoping it is hub related as I'd rather wait 6 months for the new gen cpu's & gpu's. Nothing worse than paying thousands for tech that's about to be outdated 🙂

Reinstall your PC without 3rd party AV

You should also look at getting your own router with 1Gb ports and put hub in modem mode

I suspect we have a well crafted post that is utter camel manure.

  • I do not have an AV I use malwarebyte but only after windows and all my basic software is reinstalled. I'm almost convinced this is pc related not hub related but I'm hoping that it's the latter as it is the cheaper option.

After some trial and error, I thought I had solved it when it appeared that if I do not use the top ethernet port on the superhub then everything appears to be good when checking (as seen below in the image). But checking a moment ago it still shows ethernet problems and my internet still disconnects so I shall leave it on overnight and it is being diagnosed tomorrow (monday)

Pc has had all drives wiped, windows re-installed, left on test for 6 hours connected to the internet at the technicians house. but within 15 minutes here it has disconnected twice (3 times as it disconnected whilst writing this), I've ordered a new ethernet cat 7 cable to see if it is that, but if not I'm at a loss as to what is causing the problem. Without another pc to connect to this hub I cannot, for certain, tell if it is the hub. The troubleshooter states default gateway was... unavailable (I think) but last time running the troubleshooter, it connected while it was running. I have been downloading in Steam while writing this and in the past, using Steam, ubisoft or any other game portal, while using the internet usually causes a disconnect.

  • I have plugged the ethernet cable into the motherboard and so far it appears stable so it may well be the NIC I have been using
