360 upgrade

Advice to anyone thinking of upgrading to Virgins 360 system....DONT. I utterly regret the decision to upgrade.

The tv guide format is the same as the tvgo app which is horrendous this is not an upgrade its a regression! It definitely is not user friendly the pre upgrade V6 format is/was so much user friendly.

Just as a note, when on to customer service I was advised that I would not lose programs that were recorded....well we now know that's misinformation....just another notch on Virgins legendary Customer Service!!

Hey Rebob, thank you for reaching out and I am so sorry you feel this way.

Are you needing any support with this, what channels wore lost?

New around here?

Hi Mathew,

If you re read my message you will see that I lost all recorded programmes not channels which I now understand happens when one upgrades to 360. It's annoying that when I enquired before upgrading I was advised that I would not lose my recorded programmes. Just another example of the 'legendary Virgin Customer Service' especially by telephone.

What I would like is return to Virgin V6 format which any user can see is far more user friendly. But I know what the answer to that query will be.

So sadly I am still a unhappy / dissatisfied Virgin Customer.

Sorry to hear that you weren't informed of the loss of recordings on the V6 box, when migrating to the 360 TV services @Redbob.

We would have to advise that once the transition has been made from V6 to 360 TV this cannot be reveresed.

Sorry for any disappointment caused, and to assist you, feel free to see our online help, to assist you with the navigation on the new 360 TV software.

Thanks

Hi Kevin 1988,

Regarding upgrading to 360. I too regret upgrading, it is so un user friendly the layout is amateurish a real backward step.

One would think that VM would listen to it's customers as we are not the only dissatisfied / regretful customers. To the point I'll search around to see if I can get a similar deal elsewhere. From what I've seen Sky/BT interface are no way are unsightly as VM.

After being on a Cable Forum where I seen two persons had successfully got VM to send Tivo V6 boxes out to them.

I phoned VM Faults dept and requested same, they advised could not be done, after persisting and asking to speak to a manager which they put me on hold and came back stating a technician will come out to revert back to Tivo V6.

Keep us posted, I'm guessing the tivo will update itself to become a 360 again or the technician will refuse
