When watching a recorded program and when you also have multiple episodes to watch, about a minute before the program ends, a pop up in the top right warns you that the next episode will auto start in 12 seconds unless you cancel the option.
The bug is, that if you do NOT cancel this, the next episode plays once the 12 second timer elapses even when the current episode has not finished.
Multiple times I have had this happen to me - the pop up message gets displayed and I cancel it but I then note that the current episode has MORE than the 12 seconds shown in the pop up message??
So in other words, when the next episode starts (when you do not dismiss the message), it actually starts before the current one ends....??!
I have noticed this on V4.41 (and all versions before this) on the 360. I've just been updated to V4.42 so don't know if this is still present.

Thanks for posting on this thread, Gixerob111. I'm looking into this at the moment, please can you confirm if this is happening on all recordings or just certain channels?
If you can provide that information, I can take this to the team and ask them to look into this further.
Kind Regards,
Steven_L

TBH I've only had that one series link recorded so can't really say, sorry.

To answer Steven_L's question this isn't a channel or recording specific issue - it happens across all channels and series recordings when watching the end of a recorded episode when the next episode is also recorded and available to be watched. I thought my other posts on this thread explained the situation - and also what needs to be done to fix it. Looking back it seems we were promised this would be forwarded to the development team on 18-Jan-2023 - almost a year ago now.

Hi Steven_L,
It's a feature that the software team have introduced and doesn't work correctly for the reasons posted in the thread if you read it from the start.
All anyone is asking for is an option to turn it off.

Hi all,
Thanks for your comments.
I've asked the team if they can have it fed back as a feature to be able to turn off.

Is there an update on this request yet?

Hi @Simon_H
There's no update, it was a recommendation that was passed on to the relevant team for a feature to be added.
Best wishes.

I am experiencing this feature now with recordings of Suspect on C4. It would be great to be able to turn it off.
thanks

This annoyance got me yet again earlier this evening at the end of my box recording of episode 1 of Murder Trial on BBC2 when I was unable to grab the remote within the countdown period.
An update would be appreciated - even acceptance that this is something that is not working as expected would be progress.
I'm really struggling here. If this autoplay pop-up was displayed in the last 15 seconds of the whole recording rather than when the programme timing thinks the episode end has been reached then there would not be a problem. If the autoplay box default option was to do nothing rather than play next episode then there would not be a problem. If this autoplay box could be completely switched off there would not be a problem.
To me the required change doesn't seem massively complex but VM just don't seem to be listening to their customers here.
Can we have an update please.
