Yes I share you're frustration, various callers tell me what a "strange ringtone you have" but for me the most annoying part is caller display showing "withheld" or "no number" and they are NOT withholding their number! It leaves you wondering if it's one of those annoying scam calls but I have to answer as it's more than likely family or friends.😡
Hi charliebrown44,
Are you having any issues with the quality of the calls at all, or just with the ringtone?
Thanks,

Call quality seems fine, but it's ringtone AND false caller display info the issues.Lots on here have exactly same issues and VM have replied on this forum that they are aware of these issues and working on a fix. I won't be holding my breath!

Thanks for confirming, charliebrown44.
The ringing tone received on your handset when a call is incoming can be dependent on who is calling, and the backend Landline network they use - for example, a caller on the legacy copper lines may ring differently to somebody who is on a Fibre Phone service.
I understand that Gareth has advised that he is currently working to get some more information on this, and once a fix for the issue has been released to the firmware, we'll be sure to let you know.
We're very sorry for any inconvenience this is causing in the meantime.
Thanks,- charliebrown442 years agoOn our wavelength
