Last number called block on landline

Hello,

Does anyone know if Virgin Media allow the last number called to be blocked on landline?

I can't find that option anywhere, Previously service providers allow that to be done quite simply.

Thanks.

  • Thanks, I did mean the last call received.

That's a shame. Something Virgin need to look into.

      Hello M_2.

Thanks for your question regarding the last number received to be blocked.

goslow has beat us to a reply and has advised we don't have the option to do just that.

We can pass this over to our product team as a possible option for the future though.

Can we help with anything else whilst you are on here?

Thanks. I rather think this will have been raised previously. If it was going to be added as an option, wouldn't have been done by now.

Thanks for the info. Shame Virgin can't just add the facility.

Very few operators "police" incoming calls at source, as this could cause all kinds of issues. For instance many scammers have the ability to "clone" genuine numbers, which would lead to calls from the legitimate number being blocked.

  • Although if that takes place, it could be unblocked when discovered.

Scammers use literally thousands of different numbers every single day. I suppose you would be happy for your bills to increase astronomically to employ all the staff required to switch all these numbers off & on again, not to mention the compensation claims that would be filed by businesses losing trade as a result of their numbers being mistakenly blocked by operators.

This is exactly why the operators that did do it a while ago have stopped doing it
