Landline Outgoing Calls Suspended

Hi,

The phone worked fine last week & outgoing calls were made.

Dial tone present , incoming calls are fine,  when I try to make an outgoing call it says my service has been suspended.

Just got off the phone to customer service & did a hub reset with them which went fine. No icons are showing . They say I have to replace the hub?

I just saw another post which had the same issue & the problem was that call barring had been added to their account.

I'm not convinced a new hub will solve this. Sounds more like an account issue due to being a 'suspension'

Anyone else had this?

  • Hi richo

Welcome back to the Community Forums.

Sorry to hear of your concerns with your landline.

Are you able to accept incoming calls from your landline? If not, do you hear a dial tone at all when you pick up the handset?

Any other handsets in the home? If so, ensure they are correctly seated in their bases.

Do you have any other devices connected to the landline at all, such as a third-party answerphone machine or backup phone?

  • Hi @ Carley_S

Yes, I can accept incoming calls & dial tone is present.

There are no other handsets  & no other devices connected .

Just checked my account & it looks like someone has added call barring without my knowledge.
