Hi
I have a Mega TV with Gig1Volt package.
I have 2 TiVo boxes (7 years old) and have recently been experiencing the same problem with both. iPlayer has either not been able to load or has taken several minutes to load and then playback has stuttered or suffered from buffering.
Reading other threads on this subject it seems that these boxes now struggle with recent updates to the iPlayer app and an upgrade to V6 boxes is the solution. I would add that the boxes worked fine for 6+ years. There are no flashing lights on either box. I've rebooted the boxes numerous times but no improvement. Service status for my postcode indicated that there was an issue with TV service today so I waited until receiving the all clear message from VM, rebooted the boxes and tried again but found no change.
Please could I be contacted by a member of the VM team to help me resolve the problem. Many thanks.

The forum team may well refer you to call in for this issue, but for your sake I hope not. If you do, you're likely to have a sales pitch on a conversion to TV360.
Regardless of the pros & cons of TV360 vs TiVo/V6 (done to death on other threads), if you have 2 x TiVo, then upgrading to V6 is just that - an upgrade. Converting to TV360 would result in having 1 x TV360 master & 1 x TV360 mini, thus losing the disk space on your second box.

Thanks for reaching out to us @CC215, and I'm sorry to hear of the issues you've been experiencing with iPlayer on your set top boxes.
Can you please confirm if any other streaming services on the set top box also struggle to operate?
When the iPlayer times out, are you issued with an error code or message?
Do you keep the set top boxes in a state of standby over night?
Thanks,
David_Bn

Hi David
thanks for your reply.
ITV, 4 & 5 seem not to have the same problem - they load quickly and play without buffering.
yes - I leave the boxes on standby overnight.

To answer your iPlayer question:
if it loads it takes a few minutes to reach the Home Screen and then responds painfully slowly to each press of a button on the remote. If it fails to load I get a blank black screen then it flips back to the live TV channel that was playing with no error message.

Being incredibly slow is a fault. They should be replacing all these old Tivo boxes, not waiting for customers to complain.
