Hi
Does anyone have any experience of installing the Virgin TV go app on an android tv?
I am considering buying an android tv to use in another room of the house instead of using an ipad to access my virgin tv.
Can the app be iinstalled successfully and can you log in and use it?
Am I wasting my money on an android TV?
Thanks for any help or advice given in advance.
Olly

Of course it’s an IT issue. Virgin do not want you to stream to a TV regardless of how much you pay?
They limit their ap to:
a) restrict format to mobile device
b) restrict access to touch screen
No option for a portable paid version?
why can’t I take my Virgin TV on holiday with me?

Virgin’s agreements with the broadcasters only allow for viewing on a TV that is at your registered account address. Therefore TV Go can only used on a portable device elsewhere, & even then only from within the UK.
What part of the above constitutes an IT issue?

There is a way round this with a device called mirror cast.
Load the app onto your tablet or phone, then on your tablet/phone at the very top of the screen pull down and you will see mirror cast or cast to TV.
Then what ever you see on your tablet or phone will show up on the TV.
The TV must have a hdmi port for it to work.
Hope this helps
