Tv go app, not connecting

I’m having a continuous issue with the TV Go app. Whenever I try to watch a recorded programme on my ipad it won’t connect to the tv box “turn on virgin tv box” (despite the box being on). The same when I try to use the app to watch a recorded programme on the tv “your virgin media tv box must be online for this to work”. I have tried the usual - restarting box/app, update app, turn ipad off and on. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the community and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums. I’m sorry to hear of the issues that you’re having the TV GO app at the moment. 

Which of our boxes, do you currently have? 

Are your box and device connected to the same network, when the error occurs? 

Are you only having issues with your iPad or does this happen on other devices also?

Hi, it’s a 360 box. Yes, the ipad and box are always connected to the same network. It’s the only device that I use so couldn’t answer if it happens with anything else.
