When I try to watch Sky Sports on my PC from my Stream box subscription the desktop app continuously plays at 2x speed until it catches up, then buffers for a few seconds, then plays at 2x speed again in a loop.
It has worked fine in the past so I'm not sure what has changed.
It first started happening a couple of weeks ago.
How do I fix this?

Hey bobybobp,
Welcome back to the community and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums.
I’m sorry to hear of the issues that you’re having with the Sky Sports app, are you able to check if the application works correctly on any other devices?
Kind Regards,

Hi @bobybobp
I know it doesn't seem to make sense, but in the past there have been lot's of different ways to resolve this when looking at the sky forums.
The one that's seemed have had the most issue resolved posts (including on here) is where people have swapped the default sound device (you might need to reset it to default as there are different options such as bluetooth, line out etc) and then restarting the sky sports player.
Others have had to check browser settings and then turning off hardware acceleration if it's enabled.
In the past it's also been caused by a keyboard problem. Have you tried disconnecting the keyboard?
Other users have had two monitors attached and had to turn one of them off.

Works fine on my stream box and on my phone.

Hi Daniel,
I have tried swapping my default audio device, turning off the hardware acceleration, disconnecting my keyboard, and switching to just one monitor but I'm still having the same issue.
Thanks,
Sam

Hi bobybobp.
Try this to completely remove the app:
- Uninstall the Sky Sports Player app
- Type 'run' in the search bar and open the 'Run' app
- Type in '%AppData%' and click 'OK'
- Delete the 'Sky Sports' folders
- Click back on 'AppData' and go into the 'LocalLow' folder
- Click on the 'Cisco' folder, then the 'VideoGuard' folder
- Delete the 'SKY_GB-SKY_SKYSPORTS' folder
- Restart you computer
- Download the Sky Sports Player app again
Chris.

So I think I've found the issue, I use Steel series GG for my audio devices to connect to my headphones. Exiting this app before starting Sky Sports fixes the problem. I can even launch Steel series GG after and the sky sports app continues working.
I'm not sure why this problem started as I've been using the Steel series GG app and Sky Sports app before. Maybe an update started it.

Thank you @bobybobp and I'm so glad to hear that you have found a work around.
This does seem like a strange but very specific issue, are you noticing any issues at all when you use Steel GG in conjunction with any other apps?
