Sky Sports VGC-4262461948:4262461948 error

GB79
Tuning in

Hi,

I keep getting persistent error in Sky Sports Windows 11 App:

VGC-4262461948:4262461948

The only solution is to uninstall, delete Cisco and SkySports folders from AppData, reboot PC, reinstall, log in again which is a complete pain in the rectum and absolutely not sustainable for the sake of my sanity.

Can someone please get in touch with the Sky Devs and find out what the cause of this error is and advise on a fix?

Thanks

GB

Hi there @GB79

Thank you so much for your post and welcome back to the community forums, it's great to have you here.

I am so sorry to hear that you are facing this issue with your service! Can I ask at what point to you get this error? Is it when you log in or does it happen when you are using the service?

Hi - I am getting the same error and it appears when the sky sports app opens and it's trying to load the stream. It relates to the Sky Sports desktop app which can be installed from - Download Instructions | News News | Sky Sports

So the exact point is when....

1. I go to Sky Sports Main Event Live Stream | Watch TV & Video Online | Sky Sports

2. Click Login

3. Click on the following logo...

4. Login with username and password

5. Select a Live stream to watch, at which point the following screen/page appears and I click on "Continue"

6. Once I click on "Continue" (because I have the app installed) then the Sky Sports app installed on my windows machine launches and after a few seconds of a black screen this error shows..

Are the details of my Windows OS...

Thank you @mmanak14

Can I ask if you are able to access Sky Sports on any other devices at all?

Hi - yes other devices worked fine. I’m not sure if this is in fact a virgin media issue or an issue of the sky sports app itself..?

Thank you for letting us know.

If its just with this once device it could be due to something with that.

Have you gone over the limit of devices allowed at all?

If there was an issue it wouldn't work on the other devices you see. Cheers
