Latency slower than when i was on copper broadband

when i was on copper previously with a different comapnay i was getting latency of around 10-15ish.

this fibre keeps above 30ms and jumps around to 60-70-80 sometimes.

been looking at the router pages and seen what ive pasted below.

a few pre-rs-errors on different channels, but the bottom number, the Corrected Errors seems really high.

Could this be causing the latency, or is it just gonna be like this.

Corrected errors on that channel expected and normal. If you chose VM and hoped for lower latency you're in for disappointment, what you're getting is the normal cable experience.

On the 3.0 channels corrected errors can indicate the network is marginal, large quantities are expected on the 3.1 channel, it uses a different error correction scheme that has a lot more coding gain and pushes the network much harder.

Hi there @mark1stewart

Thank you so much for your post and welcome back to the forums, it's great to have you here.

I am so sorry that you have faced this issue with your service and thank you to our community teams for their help so far.

I have taken a look on our side and I cannot see any issues that could be causing this, can I ask how things have been looking since your last post?

To add: 100% of the codewords can be corrected on the OFDM channel and everything is fine. The counter doesn't reveal how hard it has to work to correct the errors, so it must be excluded when troubleshooting. The log will tell, if it needs to work too hard, which results in a change of modulation (event codes 16/24).
