Virtual unreal test verification

Hi.

I'm a little concerned. Trying to sort a couple of problems with Virginmedia and have been asked online to do a Virtual unreal test verification..  I declined as I am usually wary of anything like this. I did give the last 4 digits of my card but nothing else.  Does Virgin use this as a means of verification?  I have blocked my card for now.

Can you expand further on this, where did the test come from etc?
