To caveat I’m a sample size of one and realise the plural of anecdote is not data. Saying that, the grass has not been greener with my new ISP. Just out of interest so all my options are on the table, how long to I need to wait before I can classify as a new customer?

It doesn't seem to be consistent. 30 days has been mentioned. Someone very recently was offered a new contract right away, but it apparently went very wrong and they were still waiting for a connection.

90 days is the period of time most often mentioned on here but that is subject to the process of totally random and unexpected outcomes whenever you communicate with VM.

I had to wait 3 months to be called a "new" customer. As stated above, it seems to be a bit of a lottery.

It's normally TWO months. Some agents quote 3 months, but if an automated order its 2.

Hello alistem.
Thanks for your post and welcome to our community.
Sorry to hear your new provider is now what you expected.
We would love to have you back. Plus the added bonus of being able to send the equipment out, rather than waiting for a manned installation.
The information above is correct. We do require 90 days gap between an account closing and the same customer to come back and join again.
How long have you not been with us?
