New Installation - exposed cable and visible conduit

Hi, first post and wanted to get community opinion on installation.

Guys came and ran a cable to the house but they've just put it in green conduit and on top of the soil and looks terrible. They have also left the cable that connects from the pavement exposed.

I've got someone coming today to hopefully fix it but wondering what other experience is like and what I can expect for it to be like.

Entirely normal for Virginmedia's subcontractors. Make sure you don't formally sign off on the completed installation until this has been put right to your satisfaction.

They sent a virgin engineer around today to look at it and he said it wasn't up to standard.

He's actually buried the cable in the soil himself but has also reported to his manager who will raise with contractor to fix the exposed cable on the roadside path. Said they should drill within the hole into the garden and not have it sticking out.

That sounds like progress. Hopefully they have not left a tripping hazard on the outside path.
