Move-in which cable

Hi all,

Moved into a new flat yesterday, got my quick start today.

There's two sockets on my wall that look like they could be for the connection, one with a technetix TRIS-1002L attached and one that's just a cable, see pictures:

The one with the 1002L attached to it is right by a virgin media phone socket by the looks of it, so that's what I've plugged it in to for now, but the hub has been simply flashing green for 20 minutes and I haven't heard back anything from virgin media.

When I log onto my hub, it says No RF signal detected:

At what point is it safe/a good idea for me to plug the router into the other socket? Is it obvious and I'm missing something as to which socket is the correct one to use?

Thanks!

Photo 2 is the correct connection method. The other connection is a TV aerial. If you have no RF signal, I think that means your cable is disconnected somewhere between your wall box in your home and the cabinet in the street.

Check the pattern of green light here
