Finally a Hassle Free Renewal Story

So over the last few months I have been receiving emails from VM telling me my contract is due for renewal and would i like to take them up on a new renewal offer , everytime i click through the offer has been more than I am currently paying so I have continued to ignore , also couple the fact that my contract still has another 7 months on it there was no urgency.

Well last week I had the same thing happen again I clicked through and to my surprise it was a contract £8 cheaper per month than I am currently paying with a new 18 month contract and no price rise next April…seems like an absolute no brainer so for once VM have given me a good deal without having to do the whole cancel contract dance

Just thought I was post to add some balance to the constant negativity around VM , sometimes they do get it right

That could well be the case. VM wanting to get customers signed up again before the competition arrives. That's exactly what happened in our road.

My name is NOT Alessandro. That's just a tag Virginmedia sticks on some contributors. Please ignore it.

I really don't want to be negative about good news story, but please keep an eye on your bills and make sure you are being charged what you were originally offered.  There are so many stories on here where people agree a good price only for VM to then go and charge much more.

My contract is up for renewal in December, I too have been receiving the email offering "the same deal at the same great price", but then there is the line at the end saying "If you are a Maxit customer you will no longer receive TNT Sports".  So Virgin are expecting me to pay the same £87 a month with less channels, doesn't seem like the same great deal to me.  So I will be leaving it right up to the very last moment before contacting Virgin.

On our wavelength

I received an offer which at first glance seemed good but I then realised that TNT Sports had been removed (Not mentioned in offer) and 2 of my 3 V6 Box (Not mentioned in offer) were not included.

That's been reported several times before. VM use some nasty tricks at renewal time, anything to grab your money

This is normally when Openreach FTTP or an ALTNET is about to do work within the next 4 months.......That's how I have seen this happen anyway.
