So, just got a new router installed with wifi 6, the speeds are amazing, but whenever i have a download speed above 50mb/s the connection to my pc cuts out. ive tried everything on my own device to stop this from happening and have ran out of ideas, from google and my own. It only happens during downloads with the error the default gateway is closed

What site(s) are you downloading from when this happens? Does it also happen with an ethernet connection? Is this your own Wifi router?

Its anywhere, but its usually when im downloading games so steam, xbox, that sort. Dont have an ethernet cable so i cant test that solution, although im quite sure thatd be one way of solving it, and yes its my own router.

What speed package are you on?
You need to enable QoS/BWM as the hub does a one buffer all rate limiting that can cause your connection to tank.

Router is used very ambiguously in this forum making it quite unclear what is being discussed.
In this case is the configuration:
VM Hub ( model ???, Router/Modem not unknown) >>> Your Wi-Fi 6 Router >>> PC ( connection type ??? )

Could be several possibilities, you need to check logically from the VM Hub forwards. Take your laptop to where your router is and plug that cable into the laptop. If there is no ethernet socket on your laptop you can get a USB adapter for a few pounds.

Hi Rae1192,
Thanks for posting and welcome to our community 😊
Sorry to hear you're having some connection issues. Can you confirm if you're using your hub in modem mode or router mode?
