Wi-Fi Green flashing light

Can anyone help me out please. I work from home and my internet has been playing up recently.

Now today I can’t connect at all. The WiFi tab at the top stays a solid green and I can connect but nothing loads at all.

I’ve unplugged it all, factory reset it , tried everything.

The bottom long light goes solid green while the internet tab flashes green. It does this for roughly a minute or two. Then the internet tab goes off along with the bottom light.

The process starts again with the bottom light flashing green then goes solid and the internet tab flashes green and over and over.

Got an engineer but can’t come until Sunday and I work from home. Anyone had this happen to them? 😞

For latest updates and fix times see below...

Call the “free & automated” Service Status number - 0800 561 0061 - which usually gives the most up to date info. and tells you of more local issues and fix estimates, down to street cab/ postcode level.

If they get it fixed... the Tech visit will get auto-cancelled

You have a residential package that has no SLA for downtime you have to have your own backup for outages  - you need to be on a VM Business package toget that - usually you get free data connection on a 4G/5G  dongle..

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & TNT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired, 2 on WiFi), Hub5 in modem mode with Apple Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's & TP-Link Archer C64 WAP. On Volt 350Mbps, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.

Not too sure if this response is automated but when your job prioritises on working from home you sort of are dependent on it not going down for 3/4 days. A few hours every few months you expect but not a few days. 👍🏼

Which is exactly why you need to have a standby connection.

My name is NOT Alessandro. That's just a tag Virginmedia sticks on some contributors. Please ignore it.

What has been quoted about residential class services is correct. The green base light denotes some kind of signal issue. If the service status (0800 561 0061) gives no Broadband faults, then either the hub is faulty or your individual connection to the network is affected & a technician visit will be needed.
