Tested this and i did get improved wifi speeds when plugged in next to each other (about 60-70 Mbps) , So with this in mind, would it be worth it to swap to using a WiFI port? my Pc is upstairs, whereas my router is downstairs

Using the top link, the router speed is at 268, my device is at 14

As per Client62, 60-70 Mbps is respectable/expected from those devices.
Are your downstairs power sockets and upstairs power sockets on different circuits on the consumer unit/fusebox?
Does your PC have a wireless adapter in it?
Depending on what signal strength you can get upstairs you are likely to get a faster speed than 10 Mbps on wireless. Particularly so if you can use the 5GHz frequency band.
