Hi everyone,
Virgin have just sent me an email saying I can have a new hub. Currently have a Hub 2 and they are going tomgive me a Hub 4.
My hub runs in modem mode as I have used VOIP for years, and the Hub2 would not work with VOIP.
Now I do not use it so much these days, as I have unlimited calls on my mobile, but would still like to keep it for international calls.
So can anyone please tell me if the Hub4 now supports VOIP?
TIA

VOIP will be fine on a Hub 4 in Modem or Router mode.
For info, any brand / model of Hub or Router with SIP ALG issues (e.g. one way voice) can be solved instantly
by changing from the default inbound SIP port 5060 to say 45060.

See this thread. Hub 4 in modem mode will suffice. https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Speed/Virgin-Media-and-VOIP/td-p/5479842

Thank you both. I will be ineterested to see if the Hub wifi is better than my TP Link routers, as I have them bridged around the house.

The Hub 4 WiFi is no better than any other WiFi, imo. It’s all about where you place the Hub if you are in router mode. But, if you stay in modem mode I wouldn’t expect any change in your WiFi experience.
