I'm trying to login to the hub so I can put some time restrictions on my nieces internet access
When I try and enter the password its saying not recognised
60 second hub reset attempted, no luck. Multiple variations of the password tried and no joy

Mobiles & laptops remain out of bedrooms at light out is a good policy to adopt.
After a 60 second reset, the VM Hub must remain powered on to allow it to complete the factory reset,
then the Hub Password from the bottom side label is used.

Are you using the correct password? There are two printed on the label.
But be aware that any restrictions set by the Hub can be easily bypassed with a little knowledge, which children pass around.
