Hello Sharon30.
Thanks for your first post and welcome to our Community.
Sorry to hear you are having an issue with the red light on your hub.
I'd like to take a look into this for you as we will need to arrange for an engineer to attend and swap this.
If you don't mind, I will need to send you a private message to pass security.
If you can check your logo at the top right of your screen that would be great.
In the meantime can you please make sure the Hubs away from any direct source of heat and well ventilated.
Regards

Thanks so much for your private message and confirming your address Sharon30,
I've now booked you a visit for the red light. You can check the date and time via your online account here
I've also sent it by private message.
If you could let me know how the visit goes that would be great.

Hello @Sharon30,
A constant red light on your Virgin Media Hub typically indicates an issue that needs to be addressed.
Unplug the power cable from the back of the Hub. Wait for about 10-20 seconds. Plug the power cable back in and allow the Hub to reboot fully.
Visit the Virgin Media Service Status page to see if there are any known outages or maintenance work in your area. Ensure all cables (power, Ethernet, and coaxial) are securely connected to the Hub and any related devices. Locate the reset button on the back of the Hub (usually a small pinhole). Use a paperclip or similar object to press and hold the reset button for about 10 seconds until the lights on the Hub start flashing. The Hub will reboot and return to its default settings. Note that you may need to reconfigure your WiFi settings after a factory reset.
Ensure the Hub is in a well-ventilated area and not covered by any objects that could block airflow or cause overheating, even if it doesn't feel hot to the touch. If the red light persists after trying the above steps, contact Virgin Media customer support. They can perform remote diagnostics and may send a technician if necessary.
Best Regards,
