Log in.. then... can not log in

Due to recent problems with the Hub losing connection, I decided to disconnect my old Talk Talk router from he Virgin Media Hub 3.0. I  changed the Hub 3 from modem to router mode. Then, it restarted and now, I can not access the Settings using the Settings Password number on the bottom of the hub. Do I have to reset the hub back to factory default and start setting it up all over again?

    you have to use different url's for router and modem modes.

    type in 192.168.0.1 if in router mode or 192.168.100.1 when in modem mode
