Hub 3 hot to touch and red light

Hi,

My Hub 3 has had a red light for months and is hot to touch. I've rebooted a couple of times and also left it switched off for an hour but once back up and running it's red light is still on and it's hot to touch.

It's out in the open and well ventilated , wifi drops out regularly do we need a new one?

Please Advise
