Hub 3.0 - Constant Red Light / Hot Device / Intermittent Wi-Fi

Hello all.

I have have a Hub 3.0 that has now had a solid red light activated for a few months now.  During this time I have had intermittent Wi-Fi dropouts from certain devices and the hub is extremely hot to the touch.

From the reading I have done, including on this forum the red light indicates a possible overheating issue. I have logged this with VM and explained I am concerned about the device because it is extremely hot all the time, but the response was to send an engineer out, and that's not until the 3rd of September.

I have been through all the troubleshooting of course and the device just gets hot again really quickly after each time its powered off, and my intermittent Wi-Fi dropouts continue.

My main concern is safety, but that was ignored completely when I logged the ticket with VM.

Its rare I have to log anything with VM, so what are peoples thoughts?

Run the "Network diagnostic test" from the Hub 3 menu, scroll down to the result for "Temperature" is it Normal ?

Irrespective of the temperature, the Hub should be replaced as the overheating warning is not working correctly. This is an inherent risk.  Just wait here a couple of days for a VM Mod to pick this up and discuss directly.
