hi, I have this red light on my router, which seems to be causing instability issues with the connections. I have tried resetting multiple times, leaving it off foe extended periods, the pin hole resets but nothing is working. Any help thanks.

Red light is a known issue to do with an aging LED VM will swap it out for another - it does not indicate any connection issues.

So, are your issues only evident on wifi connections or do you see them at the same times on devices connected on ethernet cables? If you don't know, can you check on one to help diagnose whether it is just a wifi issue or it could be network connection/Hub related?

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & TNT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired, 2 on WiFi), Hub5 in modem mode with Apple Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's & TP-Link Archer C64 WAP. On Volt 350Mbps, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.

I notice it more on WiFi because alot more connections on that. Phones, firesticks etc so when that drops it's picked up more. Only my pc uses a ethernet cable and gets used alot less frequently, so haven't noticed it on that yet. From what I can tell it overheats, causes speeds/connection to drop enough that browsing becomes slow, streaming content starts to buffer etc

And forgot to add it defiantly drops speeds because I can have full signal and do a speedtest and it can barely picks up any speed. When normally I do it and it will be 500mbps or around that mark

Sorry to hear of the issues experienced on the connection and with the permanent red light on the hub.

We will need to ensure that this is replaced with a like for like hub via an engineer visit - which will also serve to remove the faulty hub.
