Guest network

Hi

I am having relatives over for the festive period. They mainly use Windows laptops and are not very security conscious. They will want to use my internet connection, so I'm wondering if I should enable my router's guest network and point them to that.
I do not want anything on the guest network coming over to devices on my network.

Would putting family devices on the guest network completely separate them from devices on my network?

Thanks!

Hi @PP480 👋.

Thanks for reaching out to us. We appreciate how you would be concerned for the security on your home network and devices. As long as you do have adequate security on your devices and also F-secure enabled on your Hub, the cause for concern is minimal. Please see our guide on how to 👉 Security.

I hope this helps.

I do not think F-secure runs on any VM hub, only on a Windows machine and perhaps a Mac, certainly not on an iPad.
