Broadband has been down since 12h. I WFH and had to use mobile hotspot with spotty 4G which was an absolute pain. It stated it was going to be fixed by 18h and now it moved to tomorrow 10h?!?
"Damage caused to fiber cables". Maybe not leaving the street cabinets open is a good start?? When can one ask for a refund as this is literally affecting my work.

Residential connection, no SLA, so nothing more you can do, other than have a reliable backup connection.

95% of VMs local network is copper coax. Damage to fibre cables is usually the result of roadworks incidents caused by third parties.
A while ago there was a similar incident near us involving an Openreach duct. Services were down for over a week for some customers.
