When to negotiate pricing?

My 18 month contract ends on 27th August 2024. I pay around £32. Its an M125 and weekend chatter. When should I contact the team to haggle the pricing. I would also like to know whats the best price you've gotten.

You probably have most negotiating power in the last 30 days (or just approaching the last 30 days).

M125 + basic phone is showing as £29.99 for a new customer and £62 'standard' price from month 19 so set your expectations accordingly.

More relevant is what are the competitors in your area offering? That is the info you need if you are going to haggle with VM.

For contract renegotiation - see Andrew’s interesting comments in message 6 of this old thread-

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & TNT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired, 2 on WiFi), Hub5 in modem mode with Apple Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's & TP-Link Archer C64 WAP. On Volt 350Mbps, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.

It's good to see that the legend that is Andrew-G still lives on. His old posts are still well worth a revisit for his excoriating views and penetrating insights in to the weird ways of VM Ltd. He eventually switched to boutique ISP Aquiss - a true study in contrasts.
