Unrequested contract renewal.

Hi

I've been with VM for year and been out of contract for years too. I was just browsing the website to see what offers there were and suddenly an email arrives with my new contract documents. I never agreed to renew and certainly not at the price stated. Surely they cant make me renew? Do I still have 14 days to cancel this?

Thanks

Yes you have 14 days to cancel. Link below. You are not the first to experience this trigger happy behaviour from VM recently.

---------------
Cancel VM here
Complain to VM
here
Demand compensation from VM here
Demand your call recordings here
Monitor the state of your VM connection here

Thanks

But just to clarify, I don't want to necessarily cancel right now. I might be about to move house so don't want to be tied in to a new contract. Just want things to stay as they are at the moment.

Phone first thing tomorrow. Take the 'thinking of  leaving us' option, and say you will cancel unless they can give you a better offer. Play it hard.

My name is NOT Alessandro. That's just a tag Virginmedia sticks on some contributors. Please ignore it.
