Hi, we’ve been served a Section 21. We are moving in with family who already have Virgin Media.
Will I be able to cancel or are they able to put the account on hold for 6-12 months until we move into a new house again?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks

Hello Abuth3chimp,

Welcome to the community and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums. I’m sorry to hear that you have been served a section 21 notice. We can help to get this looked into further. We would not be able to put your account on hold for 6 to 12 months, the only option would be to disconnect your account with us now and then sign back up, when you're in your new home. You would also be able to take advantage of new customer deals at that time. Have you contacted our team to raise the cancellation request?

Kind Regards,

Steven_L

Hi, we’re in the same situation. Is there a number I can call to speak to someone?

Hi Steven, would I have to pay a cancellation fee? I’ve still got a few months left on the contract

Thanks for getting back in touch, it would be based on the conditions set out in the Section 21. We can take a look further into this with you via private message and you can send over a copy of it.

Keep a look out for the envelope on the top right of your screen, if you are using a mobile device it will be under the little person icon.
