Renewed but change to Netflix

I just renewed my contract online ,same price, same package, or so I thought.  It was in the details Netflix sub is now one step lower with ads. I understand this is now the standard offering, and it was there in front of me so I'm not complaining about that but I'm wondering if there is a way to upgrade to the next Netflix tier?  I haven't watched it yet to see if the adverts bother me so I might still suck it up but handy to know if can amend.

 

Whilst I'm on I noticed that I've been informed by first bill will be for a higher amount due to the changeover.  Must admit considering my package is exactly the same price that confused me.  I would have thought any payment in advance on the new contract would be offset by a refund on the old contract I've already paid. Maybe it makes sense somewhere

I'm sorry to hear there's been an issue with your Netflix add-on after renewing online, I can certainly look into this for you.

In regards to your bills, it's possible that if your previous contract had either finished or was coming to an end, there will be a period where you've been charged out-of-contract prices. This is something I can look at too for you.

I wasn’t out of contract,  I renewed early (instead of Jan 25).

As an aside anyone else amused that e-mail notifications about activity on forum posts go into the spam folder on the VM email client. Does make responding slow,
