Re: A bill for a month after I’m leaving?

I was disconnected yesterday (9th Sept).  But today (11th) my closing bill shows a £55 package charge for the period 15th Sept - 14th Oct. and I had an email saying this will be direct debited on 23rd as usual.

Hi Ashleigh_C

In a further update to the saga, I've now received an email asking for the return of the VM kit. There are 2 items on the list.

First, the SuperHub 3 that I'd been using to access the network - which is fair enough.

But I've also been asked to return an old Cisco TiVo box I was using - which I'd already returned shortly after I cancelled all my TV services 5 YEARS AGO!!

Needless to say, the email asking for the return of the kit came from a 'no-reply' email address so I can't contact them to tell them that I can't return something I'd already returned 5 years ago.

Hi @Geoff_H

Thanks for coming back to us. https://www.virginmedia.com/help/return-or-recycle-equipment - see here for equipment we do and don't need back.

Best wishes.

Hi John_GS

According to that page, the old Cisco TiVo box is not on the list of items to be returned - so why was a sent an email asking for it then?

Hi Geoff_H,

We can see you're already in PM conversation with a colleague, if you pop them another message they can take a closer look and confirm what needs returning.

i had the same experience too i was disconnected and my contract ended simultaneously on 16/08 after giving the full 30 days notice, but afterwards (on 19th) i was charged a full months up front payment for 17/08 onwards (£103!) which has  been showing as credit on my account for many weeks.

Similarly i was requested to send my kit back to VM which i did, yet VM claim they haven't received it yet (altho yodel tell me they have) and i've been charged £155 for the return.

So basically it seems VM are effectively holding £258 from me (£103 up front payment after disconnection and £155 for the kit)

VM are too quick to take and charge money for services (they don't provide) and too slow to refund or process returns, whilst sending emails and txts with no option to reply or easily contact them to find out what is going on.

Hi @Anonymous thanks for contacting us although we're sorry to hear of your concerns raised here.

We'd like to look into this to try and see what's going on here so please expect a PM from us to arrive shortly and respond directly when you can!
Many thanks
