I WAS LIED TO WHEN RENEWING CONTRACT

THE CONTRACT RENEWALS DEPT LIE AND SEND YOU AN INACCURATE CONTACT HOPING YOU WONT NOTICE 

So essentially I have started the process of exposing virgin media and how they renew there contracts. I have over half a million on my social media and will not stop until this is exposed. 

So yesterday I receive a call stating that for an extra £6 per month I can get sky sports HD and go up to 350 download speed. I thought that sounds great what’s the catch. So I ask the lady which sounded like she was in Asia somewhere does this include my current TNT sports. I was told yes. I also asked does this include HD. I was told yes. Several times she was asked and several times I was just told what I wanted to hear. Now comes the clever part. They send you a link to click which is called a “pre contract” or so the text message states. You click on it and that’s it your confirmed a contract that does not anywhere near state what was promised on the phone. So now I call back and speak to them. I was told yes you have TNT sports and Sky sports HD please wait 24 hours for your services to come in. 24 hours passes and still I have no TNT sport just standard definition sky sports. So now I am paying more for a service that I will just not use. Essentially they tell you what you want to hear send you a contract that is not accurate and what was promised on the phone and then rely on the contract speech. Well did you view the contract? Yes I viewed it and called you back to say it’s wrong. Well now I have no services. I have had to cancel my virgin media. I think what they do is hope the 14 days cooling off period expires. So then I cancel and they state you have to give 30 days notice. 

essentially the sales team just tell you what you want to hear and send you a contract that is nothing like what you was promised in the hope that you don’t notice. That being said these sales guys I assume work on a commission only basis because for someone to offer something completely different is actually ruining this companies reputation. I will be moving to sky from now on. Oh by the way check your bill they charged me £121 this month and again agreed it should have only have been £59. They said it was amended on the 5th December. Again another lie. These guys are not trust worthy what so ever. 

CHECK YOUR CONTRACT BECAUSE THEY LIE ON THE PHONE TO EARN COMMISION.

I have just had exactly the same issue when renewing my contact. I have just posted a new thread making people aware of what they promise you on the phone and what the contract states are two different things. I have now cancelled my virgin media. I was told that I could keep my services including TNT sports HD and add sky sport for an additional £6 per month in HD. They then send you a contract that is not what was discussed in the phone. I think they hope the 14 day cooling off period will expire. I have also filled in a form to collect on the telephone calls via GDPR regulations and will be exposing them on social media until it’s well known what they do. I have had to cancel my package I have with them as I will never watch sky sport in standard definition so I might aswell not have it at all. This scam that they are pushing in there existing customers is disgusting. It’s not the first time this has happened whilst being with virgin but thankfully it’s the last.
