I have just had exactly the same issue when renewing my contact. I have just posted a new thread making people aware of what they promise you on the phone and what the contract states are two different things. I have now cancelled my virgin media. I was told that I could keep my services including TNT sports HD and add sky sport for an additional £6 per month in HD. They then send you a contract that is not what was discussed in the phone. I think they hope the 14 day cooling off period will expire. I have also filled in a form to collect on the telephone calls via GDPR regulations and will be exposing them on social media until it’s well known what they do. I have had to cancel my package I have with them as I will never watch sky sport in standard definition so I might aswell not have it at all. This scam that they are pushing in there existing customers is disgusting. It’s not the first time this has happened whilst being with virgin but thankfully it’s the last.
