I got this email from Virgin today:
We wanted to let you know that we’re making a change to the way we provide TNT Sports channels in order to continue to provide the best value entertainment packages for our customers. We’ve noticed that you haven’t viewed these channels in the last 6 months, and therefore we’re removing automatic access to them from 30th June 2024. Don’t worry, nothing else is changing. If you wish to re-activate TNT Sports, you can click here for more information.
It does appear to be genuine but wth, they're saying they'll remove some channels and not reduce the price of my package. Why would anyone agree to that? Just like I haven't watched any of the shopping channels. Does this mean I then have to click through every channel every so often? What nonsense.

Yeah last time I was at the local Indian I was having a chat over a plate of biriani when, out of the blue, the plate was whipped away from under my nose and I received a penned note from a waiter on a napkin saying "We wanted to let you know that we’re making a change to the way we provide plates of biriani in order to continue to provide the best value menu packages for our customers. We’ve noticed that you haven’t eaten from your plate of biriani in the last 3 minutes, and therefore we’re removing automatic access to it from now on. Don’t worry, nothing else is changing. If you wish to re-activate access to your plate of biriani, you can click here for more information."
If you have a look at the forum pages there is a serious state of flux between Virgin Media and TNT Sport. This sounds like a new chapter in that contractual drama.

Also had this email and I regularly watch TNT. Utter joke.

Your subject line mentions a "new contract", but the email relates to Maxit customers who have inclusive TNT Sports.
Maxit was withdrawn from sale in January 2024, and was replaced with Mega-TV on which TNT Sports was a chargeable extra.

Who can help me with this?

"If you wish to reactivate TNT Sports, click here...." seems as good a place as anywhere to start.

Interesting email from Virgin, as I understand things if you are still on the maxit TV package then TNT Sports should still be included (check the channel guide ) if your contact has changed and you are now on the mega TV package then TNT is now an £18 a month extra due to the new ownership of TNT. I didn't know if you haven't accessed some channels for a period of time they could be automatically removed if the newer TV package didn't include them even though you are still on the older package within your contract period.
Interesting to see some other thoughts on this.
Is the 6 months a fixed figure or variable number now the football season on TNT has finished so less people could be watching TNT.

Does it actually mention Maxit?* It seems to just say that VM has been spying on your viewing habits and has unilaterally chosen to stop you getting TNT Sport.
As far as I can see it comes under B2. 2 of the Ts and Cs and therefore you should either get Sky Sports as an alternative or else the right to terminate your contract without an early disconnection fee. https://prod.ctassets.virginmedia.com/uploads/Terms_and_Conditions_TV_Fibre_Phone_from_4_February_20...
Raise a formal complaint in writing with a view to escalating to the Ombudsman. Links are below.
*The Maxit Legal bit was added by the OP after I had written the above. The 6 month lack of use gaslighting seems to now be some sort of stealth device to lessen VM's exposure to TNT Sport during it's current contractual crisis with it.
