Contract renewal

Hi All,

I Just wanted to call on this communities experience before going into the fray if renewal of my broadband.

i currently have M350 and I’m coming up to renewal date (which I’ve been reminded about in mail)

there aren’t any renewal deals when I login online so assume I must have to call, I would like to move up to the gigfibre but adding this takes my bill to 10 quid more expensive than my family members who is a new customer.

Do the posters on here think it’s work calling to renew or am I best continuing to shop around ?

Thanks !

In general you will always get a better deal if you wait for them to call you, rather that show your interest by calling them. Leave it to within the last month before calling them. Of course look for other deals first.

My name is NOT Alessandro. That's just a tag Virginmedia sticks on some contributors. Please ignore it.

Hi tonyguk,

Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums.

From time to time, we have special offers and promotions to welcome new customers on board. When this offer ends, the package price will revert to the standard package price for the bundle. Although they may not always be available to existing customers, that doesn't mean that you miss out once you've joined us. We often have offers and special deals on our services, or one-off promotions to make sure you carry on getting the value you'd expect.

We're always happy to review your package and cost to help find one that best suits your needs and budget - this doesn't always mean a downgrade!

I have sent you a direct message to allow us to get some details from you in a private space. If you are using a PC/Laptop then you can just click on the little ✉ at the top right-hand side of the page to access your inbox. If you are on a mobile/tablet device then instead click on the little circle icon in the top right then select 'Messages'. 😊

Hi @tonyguk

The PM has possibly been missed, but just to check, if you are using a PC/Laptop then you can just click on the little ✉ at the top right-hand side of the page to access your inbox.

If you are on a mobile/tablet device then click on the little circle icon in the top right  and then select 'Messages'.

Also butting in on your possible renewal.  Do you or any family member living at your address have a monthly O2 sim?  If so you could look at getting M500 and boosting the speed to the next available level which is Gig1.  Or if wanting a new sim take one out with O2 to get the internet speed boost

See /virginmedia.com/virgin-o2-benefits
