Contract renewal

Joining in

Hi guys!

My elderly parents moved to a house which only virgin provide broadband too.

I signed up for a £27 per month deal for broadband and phone line. It’s coming to an end and I’ve been quoted £58 per month.  They aren’t heavy users of the internet but do rely on it and their land line.

I just find it frustrating that new customers are being offered £26 per month deals whilst the best I was offered on the online chat of £44 per month.

Just wanted other peoples experience, what is stopping me in ending the contract and then signing up to a new contract? (I realise they will loose their current landline number).

Thanks

Once cancelled you cannot re-join for a period of time, usually 90 days.

New customer deals are just that, lower prices to entice you to join.

Thanks Carl!!

Ahhhh wasn’t aware of that rule.  Sounds like my parents are stuck with virgin media then! 😢

Everyone would sign up as new customers if you could cancel and sign up straight away!

Hi @ConfusedBrum84 thanks for posting and welcome to our community.

carl_pearce has advised you correctly.  When you say "I signed up for......."  Do you mean that the account in question is in your name?

Yes the account is in my name. I pay for it for my parents. They are both on state pensions, so it’s my bit of help towards them!

Thanks, ConfusedBrum84.
