Been on virgin media for years, pay £108 a month for services, checked on my account recently, I am out of contract and noticed they can offer me the same services for new 18 month contract for £81.00, obviously as I am now retired, so any discount helps, will it go back to £108 after contract finishes

You will need to ring retentions as the Forum staff here do not deal with contract pricing.   
Or alternatively, price elsewhere and see if leaving is a better option?
