What a farce! I have been a customer of virgin media for over 17 years. Aware that my contract is due to end next month I gave them a call. Currently I pay £63.10 per month. Offered double download speed but told TNT sports is no longer part of package. Cost would be £59 per month or £75.25 with TNT sports. That’s an increase of nearly 20% (on top of the near 9% increase applied earlier in the year) to receive the same package albeit with a, not required, increase in download speed.
I stated that I would be going elsewhere and was transferred to a department that could offer a better deal. Their offer was higher than the previously offered £75.25 (I think it was £78) per month. When I explained that I was told ‘but this includes doubling your download speed’. I’m sure he didn’t believe me when I said the previous agent had also offered the increased speed. He then placed me on hold whilst he looked into it. After several minutes I suspected the call had disconnected and indeed a voicemail had been left explaining that the call had dropped and that I was on another call when he phoned back (I was still holding on the original call) so could I call again. No new number was offered so I had to call the original department again.
After explaining the situation the operative said he couldn’t improve the offer I had just received from his colleague and that I would be transferred to the other department again. After waiting again for several minutes the line went dead.
I have not been contacted so can only assume my custom is no longer required.

Thanks for reaching out to us @KeetDavies123, and welcome back to our Community Forums!
We would sadly have to advise that TNT Sports can no longer be included within our TV packages and can now only be sold as an add-on, due to the changes in agreement since the takeover from BT Sports.
Happy to take a look into this for you, to see if any input can be added from our side, but if previous offers have been rejected, it would either be a case of settling with the agreement currently in place - and having our services on a 30 day rolling contract, or requesting a cancellation of the services to sign up with an alternative provider - which of course we would like to try and prevent.
Check out the envelope in the top right hand corner for a private message from me, and we'll look into this for you.
Thanks,

TNT Sports is now chargeable on all UK TV platforms, but VM is - AFAIK - the cheapest of all at £18/month.
If you want to insist on it remaining inclusive in your package, you will need to remain on a legacy TV tier and accept the expiration of your time-limited discounts.
You'll have to decide which option is more cost-effective, but your complaint lies with WBD who have altered their commercial terms. In short, inclusive BT Sport was good while it lasted.
