Accidentally renewed contract through email link

Hi,

I think I have accidentally renewed my contract via the renewal email link. How can I cancel this?

My current 18-month contract is ending in November 2024. I received an email from VM about Renewal Offers today (28 July). I clicked the 'Recontract Now' link on my mobile email app to view the offer, then clicked 'Continue' to see further details and add-ons. I exited the page without agreeing to any T&C boxes nor submitting the Order, yet I immediately received an email with all the Pre-Contract Documents and cooling period etc.

Why am I receiving contract documents already when I haven't even submitted the Order? How can I cancel this? It was a mistake and I still need to review this with my other housemates.

Welcome to the Community Forums, thanks for your first post!

It's possible that you have just received the contract documents for view. We wouldn't usually apply this unless you have consented online after receiving the CIS and CSS documents. I am sorry if any part of the online process has been misleading.
